Iended up on Cider Mill Road in the Ringoes area after living in Princeton for many years. My kids were no longer in school in Princeton and I wished to live more in the country. When I found the house, I was enchanted with the Greek Revival architecture, and the old trees on the severn-acre plot. 2. What are some of your favorite rooms and/or features of the home? Is there one thing in particular you will miss the most? The living room is my favorite room-the floor is pumpkin pine, which I am told you can't find anymore. There is old glass in the windows, and wonderful ornamentation on the fireplace. 3. Does your home have a unique history behind it? (i.e. a notable original or former owner? Did it play a role in an important or interesting historical event/period?) Picturesque Greek Revival home at 132 Cider Mill Road in Ringoes, N.J. I found out that an owner in the 1940s was the head of the American Psychological Association-they must have treated the house as a country house, as the Association was in New York City. 6. It sounds like a wonderful place to call home! Why have you chosen to move? 4. Any special memories from your time living in the home you would like to share? The back of the house looks out on to fields and forest, and the sunsets were always different and spectacular My children have all moved out West (Denver and Austin). We have moved to Bozeman, Montana-I feel like I have lived in the most wonderfiul place on the East Coast, and now hope to feel the same in the Northern Rockies. 5. What have you most loved about living in Ringoes? Are there any special community features or events you've en joyed being a part of? like how close we are to the Lambertville/New Hope area.
