Quakertown Farmers Market: A Bucks County tradition Shoppers are flocking to the Quakertown Farmers Market for their hol- iday shopping. With more than 100 departments offering a huge array of foods and merchandise at a fraction of the cost found at other stores, it is easy to find something for everyone on their list and leave with money in their pocket. Shoppers can find antiques, clothing, jewelry, wine, health and beauty items, movies and music plus military surplus and a huge variety of foods. That list is only the beginning. Behind the main Market Building are two huge barns filled with indoor flea market vendors, and outdoor flea market vendors as well. The Quakertown Farmers Market's General Manager, Chuck Kane, has announced the market will be open two extra days for the holiday this year. The market opens Monday, December 23, from 9 a.m. 6 p.m. and Tues- day, December 24 from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. The extended hours allow shoppers the time to pick up last-minute gifts and food for holiday entertaining. The Quakertown Farmers Market has been a Bucks County tradition since 1932, providing meat, poultry, seafood, produce and more to local shoppers. Over the years the market has evolved to add more fun activities for the whole family and restaurants with foods from around the world. Under new ownership since 2015, the market has added many new depart- ments carrying a vast variety of merchandise to complement the businesses that have been there for generations.
