Fred Astaire National Dance Competition 2018 Just this past October, the Fred Astaire National Dance Competition was held in Orlando, Florida. Over one hundred Fred Astaire Dance Studios competed for the champion title. Jackson Manning, a 12 year-old student at the Fred Astaire Dance Studio of Doylestown, Pennsylvania, traveled to compete with his instructor, Rita Golubeva. Jackson has made himself know throughout the Doylestown com- munity in Bucks County through his vari- ous dancing achievements. Competing in Orlando, Jackson proudly claimed the title of National Champion earning first place in the Smooth Scholarships and second in the Smooth Championships, taking home both gold and silver medals. Jackson should be very proud of all he has accomplished in this wonderful event.
