Buckingham Friends School to host annual Snowflake Festival Celebrate the warmth of winter with friends and family on Satur- day, Dec. 7 from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. at Buckingham Friends School in Lahaska. For one magical day only, the school's expansive 44-acre wooded campus is transformed into a family-friendly winter wonderland filled with indoor and outdoor activities-creative crafts, a kids-only Secret Shop, the Pocket Gnome, and a woodland walk to visit the Snow Queen for cookies and hot cocoa. (Families can purchase a card of snowflake tickets for admission to these activities.) There will be a bake sale, starting at 10 a.m., and delicious warm lunch items available for purchase starting at 11 a.m. This child-centric event also includes many free activities: a tea-room for stories and quiet time, as well as performances by students and other local artists. To learn more and to purchase tickets visit bfs.org/snowflake. Buckingham Friends School is a K-8 independent school that cel- ebrates the spirit of youth and stewards the promise of each individual to build an engaged learning community. The campus, nestled in the heart of central Bucks County at the intersection of Routes 202 and 263 in Lahaska, is shared with Buckingham Monthly Meeting of Friends. To find out more about Buckingham Friends School register for the Jan. 7 open house at bfs.org or schedule a private tour with the Director of Admissions, Melissa Clayton, at mclayton@bfs.org.
