Fred Astaire Doylestown team travels to Florida This fall for the first time, the Fred Astaire Dance Studio of Doylestown participated in the United States Dance Champion ships Orlando, Fla. As the largest most prestigious dance competition in the country, the Doylestown Team grandly received Top Small Studio. The studio's very own professional instructor Roman Doroshenko claimed the title of Top Overall Teacher. Samantha Ferris earned the titles of Top Overall Student for the competition and Top Overall Student in both International and American Style. She claimed first in International Standard, first in Bronze Closed International Latin, first in the Bronze Rhythm A Division, first and second in the International Latin A Division, fourth in the Bronze International Standard Championship, fourth in the Bronze Smooth Champion ship, fifth in the Open Rhythm A Division, and first, second and third in all her Rhythm dances. LeeAnn Reed placed first, second and third in all of her American Rhythm and International Standard dances. She also placed second for her Standard STATES DANCE America's Mar Crampio Solo Performance. Diane Clemons placed first, second and third in all of her American Rhythm, Interna- tional Latin Bronze and Internation- al Standard dances. She earned the title of vice champion in the Bronze Closed International Latin and took home second place for Top Overall Student.
