About

For more than 41 years, the Bucks County Designer House & Gardens has been the largest fundraiser operated by the VIA. This annual event now attracts more than 7,000 visitors each year. Proceeds from the event support Doylestown Hospital and the mission of the VIA.

Doylestown Health’s Richard A. Reif Heart Institute was recently recognized as one of the top 100 hospitals and health systems with great heart programs” by Becker’s Hospital Review. Doylestown Hospital joins other nationally-recognized institutions on the list such as the Cleveland Clinic, Mayo Clinic and Johns Hopkins. For this reason, we are especially proud that the 2017 Designer House will designate most of its proceeds to support the Heart Institute which is embarking on a transformative capital renovation and expansion. A state-of-the-art hybrid operating room will combine advanced imaging technology, including digital subtraction angiography and on-table cross-sectional CT imaging, with cutting edge open vascular and endovascular surgery. This technology acts as an extension of the patient care team, guiding each task and enhancing the delivery of minimally-invasive techniques for improved patient care. The 2017 Designer House will help fund capital and equipment needs for the new Endovascular Surgery Suite and build necessary facilities commensurate with the high level of care provided by Doylestown Health physicians and nurses to stay at the forefront of healthcare delivery.

From 2011 to 2015, the VIA donated $1 million to renovate the VIA Birthing Center at Doylestown Hospital. The renovated maternity center boasts nine labor and delivery suites and 22 private postpartum rooms, allowing families a quiet and personal environment to bond with their newborns.
