One in six U.S. families are forced to make this decision every day, often paying more than half of their income on rent or a mortgage. Here in Bucks County more than a quarter of our neighbors are cost-burdened when it comes to housing This is unacceptable. Habitat for Humanity of Bucks County knows that when the cost of home is any family's future, that's something none of us can afford. That's why we're commit ted to mobilizing our partners, volunteers and community members to find solutions and help create policies that will increase access to affordable housing for Bucks County residents as part of a new cam paign launching this week: Cost of Home. The campaign's goal is to improve housing affordability for 10 million people over the course of five years through pol icy and system changes at the local, state and federal levels. Habitat Bucks already has taken several steps toward these goals. 1 in 6 U.S. households pay more of their half or income on housing. Let's do something about it.
